FUTURE TEACHER

This program prepares students to return after Form 5 to tutor younger students as a teacher's assistant during the summer program. During your Form 5 school year, you will need to attend a teacher training course introducing you to basic methods and practices of teaching. Workshops and activities are designed to develop language, leadership, and teamwork skills necessary to take part in the summer program. During the following summer, you are paired with a staff member whom you will assist in teaching a class. As the summer progresses, you will receive further teacher training to begin to take on more teaching responsibilities. Successful Future Teachers are encouraged to return later to the program as staff members!
